| Warranty | I bought this hoping it would be handier than the pocket dictionary I usually carry. I am just back from a month in El Salvador and I found it to be absolutely useless. First, the on-off button broke almost immediately, it still worked, but not well. Second, it did not serve its intended purpose. Perhaps I know too much Spanish to benefit from this (but my Spanish is barely competent), but almost every time I wanted a word, it would come up with answers I knew to be incorrect. When I would try to look up a Spanish word I didn’t know, it didn’t know either either. I would be looking directly at the Spanish word, type it correctly, at it wouldn’t know it. I thought it would be quicker than my pocket dictionary, but it was slower. In the end, I used my pocket dictionary almost every day and this sat in my bedroom absolutely unused. Because of the broken on-off switch, I will ask for a refund – and then replace my pocket dictionary (which I gave to a student learning English). My pocket dictionary was in a $1 bin at a grocery store and a much better buy! |
