This product was published on I have the original version of this device and it worked fine but the upgrades they added with the plus version are everything I wished the original had. First, it has a touch screen where you can change the language of the interface of the device (default is Chinese). The app was super easy to sync with the device. We haven’t travel yet with the device but we tested a TON of Japanese on it and it translated perfectly ever time. | Warranty | The new CheetahTALK Translator has undergone a nice upgrade from the previous model. First off, there is now a touch screen located at the top part of the device, the previous model had no touch screen. There are three “swipeable” pages (as shown in the screen shots): the first is the settings page which allows you to control the volume, brightness, and a few other things, second is the chosen translation languages page which also allows you to modify the languages you want to translate between (which you can also do in the app), and the third page shows the last spoken word/phrase and its translation. The touch screen was very responsive and easy to use as well. This model, like the previous one, requires a Bluetooth connection via a mobile phone with the CheetahTALK app installed and it worked fine with my iPhone 6S. As you can see in the last screen shot, the app keeps a running tally of all translations, instead of just the last one on the device, but they can all be cleared via the settings option in the app. Translations worked well given my limited German and Spanish speaking capabilities. Once you pick the two languages on the device or in the app, all you have to do is hold down the button under the touch screen and speak a word or phrase in either language and it will translate to the other. The device is packaged in a nice sturdy box which also contains “Quick Guide” instructions and a USB Type-C charging cable. The size of this device is a little shorter and a bit wider as compared to the previous model but still easy to hold or put in a pocket. The only enhancement I would suggest would be to put a non-slick surface on the back/sides so there would be less chance of it slipping out of your hand.
